Taking a loss for opponent quitting

Exactly what it sounds like, I was trying to qualify for the weekend League and was winning the game 8 to 3: but my opponent had finally had enough and quits the game after they pause I pressed A to re-enter the match the match goes on for about 10 seconds and then ends, leading me to believe that they quit after they paused so when the game ends I'm very surprised to see messages indicating that the game thought I quit even though I was up 8 to 3 luckily I screen recorded all of this which shows exactly what I just said and when I contacted EA about it they gave me the whole runaround BS excuse of oh our team is looking into it our team is doing this our team is doing nothing wasting my time. So when I told the representative like yo I want my win because I was winning when your game mistakenly gave me a loss and the representative assured me that someone would reach out to me with the resolution. Well I'm still waiting EA.
