Hey everyone! I’ve been playing EA FC25 for about a year and a half now, so I'm still fairly new to the game. Recently, I’ve encountered a frustrating problem. I reached Division 5 in Ultimate Team Division Rivals, but now I keep getting matched with opponents who are way above my skill level. Over the last 50 games, most of my opponents have been playing as if they're in much higher divisions, and the games feel nearly impossible to win.Out of curiosity, I started asking my opponents after matches what division they're in, and, to my surprise, nearly all of them were from higher divisions! It’s incredibly frustrating to feel like all my hard work and time spent building my team and skills are going to waste, like I’m just fighting an uphill battle.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there anything we can do to make EA aware or get some kind of fix? I’d love to hear from others who might be going through the same thing or have some advice.Thanks, and hopefully, I’m not the only one facing this unfair matchmaking!

@RadioShaqs Honestly, I couldn’t care less if cross-play is on or off. The main issue here is the absurd, uncontrollable matchmaking system! I keep getting matched with much stronger players, and a lot of them turn out to be downright toxic, openly mocking me once they see the skill gap. These are the current realities of this game—it seems like respectful players are nowhere to be found anymore.Has anyone else experienced this kind of toxic behavior? Does EA even understand how much this affects the community atmosphere?

Yeah I'm having the same, the first season wasn't to bad the matchmaking was quite equal but this season has been a joke, maybe 1 /10 games I are playable, I think most of the players at our skill level have stopped playing already because the game is a shambles and it's just getting worse.I was waiting for the new season to start but tbh I think I've had enough and don't think I'll make Christmas for the second year in a row.The franchise is dead. Imo EA don't care about the game or the community just rake in the profits and stick 2 fingers up. I won't be buying 26 unless they overhaul it completely @RadioShaqs what's the point of divisions if they don't fix you're games to the division you're in. It's like a top PL team playing a DIV 3 team, its just pointless .Like the rest of the game they're trying to force out the casual players out or trying to make us buy packs.

It does seem unfair at times, sometimes you play an opponent 2 divisions above (I think) but also you may play someone 2 divisions below.The best thing for enjoyment, is to stay in a division you are comfortable in. Lose games, give free wins so you don't get promoted. At least you won't get battered every game. That was me not so long ago (I'm over 65) Advice from colleagues in my group was don't get promoted.Unfortunately there will always be toxic opponents, mainly schoolkids I would guess. Just accept they exist and move onto the next game.

I lost about 100 games this week. Its unbelievable. I don't care anymore. Will not buy the game anymore in the future. They do not care about casual players like me.

@xCrazyBanditsx It’s not locked to your division. It also takes into account your location and platform. If you have cross play on you will probably get better matchups but a lot turn it off to avoid cheaters.

I don't think many console users play this game anymore. It's just a dead game walking. If you've played weekend league with cross play off then the matchmaking is even more worse. You will see only players who are at least 3-4 better overall than your team. I think EA is coding to make it that way so ppl who have cross play off should suffer more losses and turn it back on again. I think at least 50% of the casual gaming population playing this game will stop buying the next iteration. Better to play anything else that remotely resembles football

I'm not sure you're a casual player if you've played (and lost) at least 100 games in a week. All boils down to definitions though, which is a thread I started a while back :-)

@Baldbag It’s probably down to population. If you get matched within a few seconds or have to wait. The longer you wait the wider it will search. It also stops people from rovering too. You are also playing people who are rovering and not really in a higher division.

Task 1 when setting up any kind of online game at all where people match together is to ensure a decent balance of opponents on as frequent a basis as possible.
EA have never managed this, nowhere near. That they offer rewards for finishing games just encourages AFK. I certainly don't feel obliged to complete a full game when 3 down early on to a vastly superior opponent.
This is the No1 fault in this game.

Exact same issue I'm having,, how does 80+ gold team get matched up to 90+ specials and icon teams I played a game player had Neymar, Messi, Guillet, Kane u name it.....my best player is 85 rated Watkins, and Isak.....so how is that a fair game....
