Yashin (Soviet ICON) promoted in Gloves to Goals event

Dear EA FC Team,

I would like to formally raise a complaint about the inclusion of Lev Yashin in the current Gloves to Goals Shapeshifter ICON promotion in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team.

Lev Yashin was a player of the former Soviet Union (USSR), not "Russia" — and it is deeply concerning that EA is currently promoting him as a "legendary ICON" without any reference to his actual political and historical context.

Given the current war of aggression conducted by Russia against Ukraine (and other illegal actions), promoting Soviet symbols and figures without proper clarification is irresponsible and highly insensitive.

Furthermore, this ICON card is used now in promotional materials as a "hero" in the game, which completely disregards the fact that Yashin represented a totalitarian regime — one that is currently being glorified by Russian propaganda.

I strongly urge EA Sports to reconsider the promotion of this player in the current climate, and at minimum — to properly contextualize such players in-game (as was done in other sports and media). Otherwise, it is normalizing symbols that should not be promoted today.
