EAFC, I beg you to relook into your Quality Control

As someone who has played this series for years, it is genuinely frustrating to see how little care seems to go into the overall quality control of EAFC, especially for offline players who simply want an authentic football experience. The gameplay itself is often enjoyable enough, and that is what makes these constant issues even more disappointing. The foundation is there, but every year the experience gets dragged down by bugs and presentation problems that should never still be happening in a full-priced annual release.

It feels like offline players are constantly overlooked. Bugs like the tucked-in kit glitch staying in the game for months, the professional foul setting repeatedly resetting itself (or rather the settting system is broken for years), broken line-up graphics showing the wrong players, scoreboards not functioning properly, blue eyebrows on PC, or broadcast packages failing to work as intended completely ruin the immersion. Football games are not just about mechanics or scoring goals — they are about recreating the feeling, atmosphere, and authenticity of real football. The presentation matters just as much as the gameplay. When those details constantly break, it becomes harder and harder to stay invested.

What makes this even more exhausting is that many of these issues are not new. Long-time players have seen the same cycle repeat itself every single year. A new game launches with glaring bugs, players spend months waiting for patches and fixes, and by the time things are finally somewhat stable, the next title is already around the corner — often bringing back the exact same problems all over again. At some point, it stops feeling like progress and starts feeling like a routine of damage control.

The focus also feels misplaced. There is nothing wrong with adding new broadcast packages, visual features, or presentation upgrades, but what is the point if the basics are not functioning properly? Quality should always come before quantity. It would be far better to have fewer additions that are polished and reliable than endless features that feel unfinished or broken. Right now, too much of the experience feels rushed out just to meet the annual release schedule.

Many long-time fans continue buying these games because we genuinely love football and want this series to succeed. We want to enjoy Career Mode, kick-off matches, tournaments, and offline experiences without constantly being reminded of technical issues that should have been caught before release. That is why the frustration comes from passion more than anything else. Players are not complaining because they hate the game — they are complaining because they know how good it could be if proper care and attention were given to it.

EA seriously needs to rethink its quality control process and overall priorities. Consumers should not feel like unpaid QC testers for a product that only has a one-year lifespan before the next installment arrives. At the very least, long-time fans deserve a game that feels polished, stable, and respectful of the time and money they continue to invest into this franchise year after year.
