Just thought I'd give some feedback, I only play offline and 99% of that is in Career Mode. Authentic Gameplay would be my go-to set but at the moment it doesn't do what it says on the tin.
- AI commits no fouls - even with Tackle Aggression turned up, the AI never makes a foul, it needs fixing for an authentic match
- No injuries - even with maxed out Injury Frequency I'm seeing very few injuries, could be down to a number of things such as the lack of tackles or the stamina not draining that much in a game on authentic gameplay
- Long range shooting - finding it really difficult to score from range at all this year and it puts me off even trying, in most premier league weeks a long range (or in fact a goal from outside the box) is scored, so maybe this needs a tweak
- Defensive positioning - AI teammates still do not engage well with the CPU attackers, they leave big gaps rather than closing down
Overall I think the gameplay is better than recent years, but the above really would improve it and make it more realistic. EA should really take advice from offline-players on authentic gameplay. We want to see more midfield battles, more tackles and more physicality in the game!
For reference I play 7 minute halves on Legendary for now.
