Remove DNF if game freezes due to console overheating

After losing a game 6-1 on champs, by the 60-something minute I was winning 4-0 in the second match and got a DNF notification… as if I know how to freeze mid-game and disconnect. Can EA give exceptions and not apply automatic loss and DNF when game freezes because of suspected console overheating? Idk if you can get permission from console manufacturer to allow the console to send some kind of signal when such occurrences happen to avoid loss of progress.

Please let me know if you can come up with a solution. Thanks.

    Hey 66i2zz2m50eb​ will pass the feedback on to the team but this is not likely something that will be workable.

    If your console is overheating then the best thing you can do is ensure that it is in a well ventilated area and that your fans are clean and not obstructed.

    Thanks. I was thinking they could set something up similar to when the game crashes unexpectedly, a window comes up asking if you‘d like to report it to SONY - something like that.

    That would be something that Sony would need to implement 66i2zz2m50eb​ as our team would not be able to know if it was an overheating issue, someone yanking the plug or a general crash.

    EA_Darko​ So a system whereby Sony is able to tell devs how the console disconnected from server (upon permission of console owner) is not something that could be setup?

    That would be a question for Sony 66i2zz2m50eb​.

    They would be the ones who need to set up such a system as when it comes to issues with crashing you would be surprised by how little is shared.

    I have a proposal regarding the problem. Would it be possible to create a pop-up window asking for permission to screen-record the match? Then the screen-recording auto-deletes as it’s sole purpose would be to make the evidence process (regardless DNF) easier to prove/disprove?
