Gameplay Feedback – Core Mechanics Needing Improvement

Me and a large part of the community want to share feedback about several core gameplay mechanics that currently feel broken or inconsistent in EA FC.

Many of these issues are not related to settings or player skill, but to how the game engine handles inputs, animations, and decision-making.

Here are the main problems we are experiencing:

Passing accuracy and targeting – passes often go to the wrong player even when aimed correctly, especially in tight situations or under pressure.
• Player switching accuracy – L1/LB switching and right stick switching frequently select the wrong player, making defending unreliable.
• Defending balance – Tactical defending often feels too weak to win the ball, while Advanced defending results in excessive yellow/red cards for clean tackles.
• Slide tackles in the box – even when the ball is clearly won first, penalties are frequently awarded due to animation-based foul detection.
• Foul and card logic – clean tackles are punished inconsistently, while similar fouls by attackers are often ignored.
• Goalkeeper AI and animations – poor positioning, delayed reactions, and unrealistic animations lead to avoidable goals.
• Rebounds and loose balls – rebounds regularly fall back to attackers regardless of defender positioning.
• Header behavior – multiple players jump unnecessarily, while correct marking and aerial duels feel inconsistent.
• Shooting precision – shot accuracy and power feel inconsistent even with correct aim and timing.
• Defender marking and positioning – defenders often fail to track runs or hold their line.
