Manager Career- Player Contracts

I have 30+ players in my team and I can’t get a single one to negotiate a new contract with me, not a single one. I’m just a casual player, I don’t want to constantly have to worry about contracts with my players. Why would I do a road to glory just for the young star I’m building the team around to be able to just never negotiate a new contract with me? I get we’re going with “realism” cause you don’t always get what you want in football but if I’m just trying to chill out and create a fun little save I should be able to at least change how strict players are about wanting to negotiate. I want to do a Liverpool save with Silva and Konate as my back two, they’d probably be my pair for 5+ seasons. I’ve restarted my save three times now to try to get one where Konate will negotiate with me, but I can’t even get him to want to. Literally ruins my save before it even begins. How is that fun? It’s not. And we all play this to have fun. Please just fix it.
