Misleading 83+ PPP?

Description says:

Includes 1 Rare Gold Player Pick (Pick 1 of 4), rated 83 or higher. 

Player | Items | Rares
     4     |      4     |     4

Why would `Items=4` if ultimately, you only get to keep one? Shouldn't `Item=1`? 

The way I interpreted it was that we would get 3 players + 1 player pick, all rare. 

Another way this could have been interpreted is you get all 83+ rated player and 1 pick out of 4. 

But then again, how could one be so naive in thinking such pack would go at such bargain price right? Anyone else got confused by how this pack was advertised or is my brain the only one having skills issues?
