I'm trying to understand the issue.
Are you saying that you would like to receive a warning message when you start a new save file if one of your players has a contract of less than 12 months?
Or that you are not able to start a negotiation to renew a player who has a contract of less than 12 months that is currently part of your team (not a loan)?
Yes whenever I start a career mode for example with manchester united the players that have less than 12 months remaining on their contract which in this example is casemiro maguire heaton etc they all end up leaving on a free transfer and I am never able to open negotiations with them to renew their contract they never message to say they want to renew and so it never allows me to go into negotiations.
The new idea behind the players contacting us to say they are open to negotiations for a new contract is a good idea but we as managers of the club should also have the ability to contact players ourselves aswell if we wish to renew their current deal or reward players with pay increases etc.
