Severe lag & stutter in EA FC 26 on high-end laptop (even offline) – need help

Hi everyone,

I’m facing a persistent lag / stutter issue in EA SPORTS FC 26 on PC, and I’m looking for help from anyone who experienced something similar.

Platform: PC (Steam)

Hardware: High-end gaming laptop (RTX 40/50-series GPU, high refresh-rate panel 165Hz)

Issue:

• Lag and stuttering happens throughout the entire game
• Occurs even in offline modes (Kick-Off, Career, etc.)
• Sometimes improves temporarily, but always comes back
• Makes the game almost unplayable

What I already tried:

• Updated GPU & system drivers
• Reinstalled the game multiple times
• Changed refresh rate / FPS limits
• Adjusted all in-game graphics settings
• Disabled V-Sync / tested different sync options
• Cleared EA App cache
• Power plan tweaks (CPU min/max at 100%)
• Laptop always plugged in
  None of these provided a permanent fix.

EA Support confirmed this is not a basic setup issue and mentioned possible frame-time instability on high-Hz laptop panels, but I’m still searching for a real solution.

👉 If anyone with a similar setup found a fix (NVIDIA settings, Windows tweaks, BIOS options, etc.), please share.
