Part of the problem is that they removed keeper movement, without it you can't move your keeper to prevent the finesse shot. When it comes to shooting itself though, it depends on if they are using precision or assisted. Precision shooting is manual it goes where you are pointing, but most of the player base plays assisted. Low driven shots meed some form of nerf, finesse plus need some sort of nerf, or they need to buff goalkeepers a bit so that they aren't beaten by nearly every shot that goes towards then.
Most people will just say defend better as keeper movement or good goalkeepers in general are a crutch, but I think we should be able to have some form of reliability from the goalkeeping position. As for wing play and cut back, that has been the most widely adopted form of goalscoring since early ultimate team, but back in the day we called them rat goals and there was some form of shame around them. Over the years that has gone away and people have gone down the win by any means mentality, but rewards and promo cards in general have played a big part in that.
