Transfer Budget recommendation for FC27

I am writing for the 4th year in a row (i think) to request transfer budget customization.

Justification: team budgets are out of control, playing in EPL, La Liga, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga are fairly watered down due to the fact that most teams are flush with funds, making it so you can essentially buy any player you want.

I found career mode much more enjoyable when only Man UTD and Man City, for example, had budgets over $50M. This made transfer choices much more crucial, and meant qualifying for the tournament round in champions league provided crucial income for middle-to-low range teams.

I have enjoyed have FC26 has made budgeting harder for smaller clubs with less funds - it costs more to send out scouts and sign prospects to your youth squad - but still, almost every team in the premiership is wealthy.

Suggestions: Fully customizable budget before entering career mode.

  • set the transfer budget for every team in the league, or, at least, a slider to increase or decrease budgets by a percentage.
  • set budget % increase by year
  • There's clearly a budget logic that exists already, so as usual teams should either decrease or increase in funds for certain markers, which should also be customizable, like,
  • Set Budget rewards for C league, E league, C league, qualification, advancing past first round, and winning
  • Budget rewards for winning league cups, and winning entire league
  • Budget rewards for meeting goals
  • Budget penalties/decreases for missing goals
  • Budget penalties from board for bad attitude in the media, or poor happiness among players

Extra:

  • I liked when the board would force you accept a sale when a player demanded a transfer - in fc26 it seems i can deny transfers forever
  • If i recall correctly they would forcibly buy a player sometimes too (?) if not, that would be a nice feature, cutting into your budget
  • Of course, with lower budgets comes transfer funds requests to your board, as well as financial takeovers midseason.

Personally I search out career mode saves with lower budgets, so this would 100% make me buy the game on launch. I typically wait for a sale or when it's on PSN because it gets so boring with the budgets. If i replace the teams, i already am up to $50M plus in budget for Reading in the third season in the EPL, without placing any higher than 5th.

  • I think smaller clubs have too low transfer budgets for example when I start an Ipswich town career mode i am given around 20-30 million pounds budget when in both the championship and the prem but in real life Ipswich spent over 60 million pounds in the championship last season and in the prem this summer they have already spend over 150 million pounds and they’re not done
