"Transfer Listed"

This has been an issue for many years and has seemingly never been addressed. When transfer listing players, we expect to at least get one offer for them. There hasn't been an option to request money from the board, instead it's now a random event that you need luck to receive. I'll use my most recent experience as the key example of the issue.

I spent last night making a create a club for manager career (La Liga 2). I spent 4-5 hours customising the club, choosing my tactics, scouting players and preparing for the season. I do not like having "fake" players in my starting XI, especially older and higher rated ones. If they're young enough to seem like YA prospects, that's fine, unless they have a relatively high rating for the squad I'm building. From July 1, I had 3 of the highest rated "fake" players on my team for sale. I spent the ensuing month buying and swapping players for my starting XI and also setting up my youth scouting. By the time I was done, I had less than a million euros left in my budget.

I have not received any bids for these players - two are 78 rated and valued at 14 million euros each, and the other is 74 rated and valued at 4.8 million. Assuming I sell them at their valuation, thats 32.8 million euros that I'm now desperately relying on receiving. I play the first few games with a full starting XI of new players, but a bench of fake players that I intend on replacing. Every game that goes by, I'm getting more and more frustrated that no one is coming in for my transfer listed players. At this point, I would accept half or even a third of their value. I need that money for financial security and transfers, I don't care if I get an F grade for the transfer.

Flash forward to transfer deadline day - every click of the "skip forward an hour" button, I'm getting more and more annoyed. No one is interested. I'm getting bids and loan offers for players that are not transfer listed. I let out a sigh as deadline day ends and no one buys them. I then promptly dropped the career mode and will not return to it, because this kind of constraint just feels totally unfair and out of my control! I'm not particularly young any more, I really hate having my friday night wasted for no reason.

Give. Us. Options.

Why can't I offer them to teams? That happens in reality. I'd literally give them to a tiny team that would appreciate having such relatively high rated players and I'd sell them for a steal (for that team, that is).

Why can't I request money from the board? Yeah, maybe it's not realistic but it used to be in the game and career mode was much better for it.

If it's for realisms sakes, let one thing be clear - this isn't a realistic simulation of being a football manager. Most people don't sim games, you play as your team, the players that you spent all the time scouting - this is not reflective of any sort of reality. So why introduce such constraints? If it was a totally realistic "career mode", surely teams would be coming in with low-ball offers for these players - offers that I'd happily accept.

I have played this game series since 2006. I'm very familiar with career mode, this has been a consistent issue that has never been addressed. There are tons of such issues with career mode, but many have come and gone over the years with patches.

Just let me sell my players.
