Urgent Feedback: Poor SBC UX, Unfair Bans & Player Retention
Dear EA Sports FC Development Team,
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the current direction of the game, particularly regarding your policy of penalizing players who utilize third-party quality-of-life tools while failing to provide functional, built-in alternatives.
I had previously stopped playing this game for a prolonged period, as your rigid policy structure and lack of innovation have rendered the overall experience tedious and uninspiring. I returned recently—at the tail end of the game's lifecycle—to give the title one final chance and to enjoy collecting as many high-tier players as possible through Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). Regrettably, the current state of the game has only confirmed that I will not be purchasing any future installments in this franchise.
At this stage of the game, players expect a fluid experience when opening packs and completing SBCs. Instead, doing so natively through your interface remains an excruciatingly slow process. Attempting to manage and open a batch of 100 packs takes an entire day, largely due to sluggish menu navigation, unskippable animations, and the frustrating, time-consuming difficulty of filtering and selecting the specific players required for SBCs.
Third-party tools exist solely because your development team has consistently neglected basic User Experience (UX) improvements. Players do not use these tools to gain an unfair competitive advantage; they use them to bypass the severe inefficiencies in your menus. Punishing dedicated users for seeking basic efficiency—while offering zero native features like bulk pack opening, rapid player filtering, or streamlined SBC completion—demonstrates a disregard for your community's time.
As a multi-billion-dollar publisher, EA Sports should be developing native features that respect players' time, rather than restricting tools that merely patch your game's usability defects.
I strongly urge you to prioritize implementing native, rapid SBC and pack-management tools immediately. Until EA Sports addresses these fundamental usability issues, players like myself will continue to walk away from future releases.
