Why are price caps not automatically adjusted?

Is there a reason for EA to not implement some sort of algorithm to automatically adjust price caps?

Let's say a player hasn't been on the market for X amount of time, the price cap will get increased by X percentage? There shouldn't be a reason for a card to be extinct for 2 weeks just because he's obviously worth more than 10k coins.

I also feel like minimum price caps shouldn't be a thing. I remember packing Gundogan last year who had a 10k coin min cap. Obviously wasn't going to sell, but by the time they manually adjusted the min cap the market got flooded with him and he was pretty much discard value.
For golds it should just go down to 600 coins.
