Deeply disappointed: Career Mode is broken and rewards AI over players
Dear EA Sports Development Team,I am writing this because I am honestly deeply disappointed and fed up with the state of Player Career Mode. I bought this game to enjoy a realistic journey, but instead, I am met with "broken" mechanics that make the experience feel like a chore rather than a simulation. One of the most frustrating things is the progression system. It is completely unfair that a mediocre AI-controlled player can increase their rating by 3 points every single year without any effort, while I am forced to level up twice just to gain a single rating point once I reach the 85-rating mark. It makes no sense that the game makes it so much harder for the actual player to improve than for the computer-controlled players who are objectively worse. The lack of logic continues with the award system. I just finished a season with an incredible 99 goal contributions in 85 games, yet the Ballon d'Or was given to a teammate with far worse stats. How can you call this a simulator when the game doesn't even recognize the best player on the pitch? Finally, the economy is a total mess. I have played for 10 seasons and earned only $150 million in total. Erling Haaland makes that in two and a half years in real life. It’s also insulting to see aging players like Iñigo Martínez earning higher wages than Cristiano Ronaldo, while 19-year-old "regens" are valued at hundreds of millions in 2035. The inflation and wage logic are non-existent.I’m not asking for a refund, but I am asking for you to fix this. Make the progression fair, fix the awards, and give us a realistic economic engine. Stop ignoring Career Mode fans in favor of Ultimate Team.
