all my players go into a guard like I’m holding defenders off

I was on a game and it seemed every time they even got within 4 yards they immediately went to a jockey with the ball trying to hold the defense off. Then their team was lightning fast regardless of the player pace. I was being dusted by Eze in a sprint vs a guy with 92 speed and could never recover back. Any idea why?
