Bring back timed finishing

  Who agrees that timed finishing should be brought back in fc 26  it was such a good mechanic that showed a difference in skill levels

    Was never a fan of it and personally glad it has been removed. I found it another silly gimmick and it was even exploited by hackers allowing a green timed shot anytime you wanted in any situations.

    So all in all glad it has been removed.

  • I didn't like timed finishing in gameplay during a match unless it was in a free kick or a penalty situation.  

    I would have it back in FC26 on those set pieces, particularly free kicks as it kind of is the same function as a penalty but with a different visual graphic.

    Timed finishing was the only thing that actually allowed those ridiculous trivelas last year. It should never return to the game, especially with the issues they have had with volleys this year. Finesse+ and low driven are also overpowered, and they don't need another mechanic on top of them to make it even easier. I'm 100% glad it's gone.

    Also, it's not a skill when most people can just turn on the trainer and have it indicate when they should press again, and the mechanic itself is just ripe for being abused by hackers or macro users.

    I don't know the statistics on how many people have their trainers turned on. At least I played with the trainer hidden, but you're saying that's not a skill either?If this isn't a skill, is there any other factor that could be called a skill? In my opinion, most of this game is influenced by abilities, and the skill aspect is very small.

    Sure Trivelas was broken and needed to be nerfed, but the developers didn't do anything about it. If only this part had been fixed, there would have been no problem. The problem was the ignorant developers who couldn't handle balance adjustments.
    Even after removing timed finishing, low driven shots still made the game unbalanced. this is a shot that requires no skill and anyone can easily score.

    People had hacked the timed finishing and were exploiting green timed shots from anywhere.

    I get your point about the balancing, but according to the devs in an interview they couldn't nerf trivelas without nerfing shooting in it's entirety. Personally, I think there should be some error in shooting, but currently the only way to make that happen is challenge shoulder to shoulder and push them off balance while hoping you don't give a penalty away. Low drivens are probably exactly the same, but to balance it they just need to make keepers better at reacting to low shots, unfortunately the FC community doesn't like having good goalkeepers.

    I agree. I really liked the timed finishing mechanic, I thought it was great and a really nice skillful mechanic to have in game. A lot of the time, especially in previous years where defending AI was so incredibly intense, timed finishes were the only way to score goals (finesse shots etc), people just parked the bus so it was your only real option. A lot of people complained about trivela's, but I've played the game for years at a high level (Div1-Elite) and only ever really ran into a couple people 'abusing' it, I don't think it was as rampant as people make out, and again, if people weren't meta rats parking the bus the entire time other players wouldn't have to find alternate ways to score goals, if you're going to fill your entire box with your team, expect long range shots.

    But yea I thought it was great. I do miss it this year, I feel like it's quite hard to score outside the box, almost to the point that it's not even worth trying without finesse+ and some serious shooting stats on top of that. The only player I've had do it consistently was Leao when his stats got boosted to 99. 

    With defending being as weak as it is this year I can kind of understand why it was removed. But at the same time things like Power Shots would become viable again if they bought it back, currently it's a dump stat playstyle. 

    FC is (should be) a skill based game, timed finishing wasn't easy, you had to work at getting good at it, like anything I feel like you should be rewarded for being able to perform higher skill based game mechanics. That doesn't seem to be the case this year. To many people who clearly have no attacking skill sets just spinning in circles until they get through defensive AI, it's pathetic to watch.
