EA Play - computer currently offline error

I have purchased an EA play membership through Steam today.

Game won't launch, with the error message that my computer is not connected to the internet, but it clearly is. I will attach a screenshot of the error

The issue might be that my Steam store region is China, while my EA account is set to Romania.

I have had various discussions in chat with the advisors, none o f their solutions have helped.

Could you check what the exact problem is?
