EA Sports Accessibility, Equality & Player Support - Impact Statement

I have to say this with complete honesty: EA Sports has taken away the game I love.
I live with Parkinsonism (Akinetic Rigid Syndrome), which makes me severely disabled. On top of that, I have 60% vision, double vision, poor coordination, and slower processing. For me, holding the controller and reacting to shots is already a huge challenge — and as any goalkeeper knows, we only have milliseconds to make a save.

Now, EA FC 26 demands that I use the left stick, right stick, B, and RB in perfect sequence just to perform a basic action. How can I possibly do that? Even able-bodied players are calling the new goalkeeper system broken, inconsistent, and punishing. For disabled players like me, it isn’t just hard — it’s impossible. This update is the worst in the franchise’s history for goalkeepers. Controls don’t respond properly, animations fail, and even perfect positioning leads to goals. EA promised improvements, but instead they delivered a system that has stripped me and many others of the ability to play the position we love.

I am bitterly disappointed with the blatant lack of empathy and understanding shown to customers with
accessibility requirements. Accessibility and equality should mean that everyone can enjoy the game, have access that is free from any obstacles and confusing details. Right now EA Sports have neglected their duty of care, as a direct result of these actions, I cannot play competitive Pro GK until a new fix is found.

This is not outof choice and not because I don’t want to, because EA’s design decisions have made it impossible. Football is for everyone, gaming should be too.

EA SPORTS you need to fix this now.
