EA Still Has No Idea Who Actually Plays Pro Clubs
It’s great to see EA bringing such massive and "amazing" changes to the Pro Clubs mode in FC26. The 13 preset Archetypes give me "excellent" guidance. I originally had no idea how to play Pro Clubs or how to set up my Archetype. "Thank you so much" for these 13 Archetypes that showed me exactly how to play this mode.
But is that true? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Pro Clubs in FC26 is **bleep**.
EA still doesn't understand who the core players of this mode are.
The people who stick with this game consistently aren't just random, solo players; it's mostly the organized league participants. Do you really think random players, paired with your oh-so-brilliant AI, have the motivation to keep playing? Use your **bleep** brain and think, is that even possible?
If it weren't for these player-organized leagues (like VPG and various national leagues set up by the players themselves), this mode would have been dead long ago, OK?
Yet EA completely fails to recognize this, constantly making changes that screw over the veteran Pro Clubs players while also raising the barrier to entry for newcomers.
So, how exactly is EA screwing over the veterans?
1. The 13 Archetypes, and their levels are not shared.
Each Archetype has to be leveled up separately. Whose genius idea was this? WOW, ONLY EA CAN DO THIS. Do you think anyone wants to play with a Level 10 Archetype that has stats in the 70s? LMAO. Let me reiterate: EA has no clue who plays this game – it's us, the players who are actively competing in leagues. Who wants to use a 70 rated Archetype in a competitive match? Last year, the level of different position is shared. Now, if you want to try a different position, you have to start the grind all over again from Level 1.
This means if you started as a defender, you basically can't play as a forward. Unless you level up a forward Archetype from scratch. So here's the problem: you're using a Level 1 forward against someone's Level 60 defender! Would you use a Level 1 forward to go up against a Level 60 defender? Don't be stupid. And this is exactly how the EA planners, with their **bleep** brains, designed it. Brilliant!
So why did they design it this way? When you don't want to spend the time levelling up, EA forces you to spend money. Club Coins are incredibly hard to get, the payout is pitiful. So, you're pushed to buy FC Points to boost your Archetype level. That's EA's ultimate goal – to make more money, with zero regard for the player experience.
2. Resetting an Archetype costs 5k Club Coins.
There's no way to undo the AP points you allocate to a specific Perk. If you mess up your point allocation, your only option is to spend 5k Club Coins to reset the entire Archetype. This is just another way EA tries to squeeze every last Club Coin out of you, ultimately pushing you towards buying FC Points. I can't even simulate what my final Archetype will look like. Every time I want to try a different build, I have to spend 5k Club Coins to do it. And you don't even earn 3k Club Coins in a full night of playing. What a fantastic game mechanic.
3. The maximum Archetype level is capped at 60, and it will be released in phases.
What a wonderful design! This way, the daily active users will be spread evenly across different phases of the game, making your metrics look better. The stock price will be more stable too. What a beautiful design.
As for those so-called "new" features you added in FC26 – the new Rush modes, Live Rush Friendlies, Cup competitions – for Pro Clubs players, it's all **bleep**. NO BODY GIVES A **bleep** ABOUT THIS.
Go check your data analytics, figure out your user profiles, see who is actually playing and what modes they are playing. Then figure out what you should do next.
**bleep** EA.
