FC26 updates making game worse

I'm 53 so take my word for it i have played the game and it's itterations for many years and it is either my age or the game is really boring to play now. I have tried almost evey single formation and role change possible to get some consistency in my play and make the jump to buying better players but my tactics work for maybe a few games and score around 5 goals a match on professional level and then i just scape a win for a few games. I have tried switching down to semi-pro and there is barely any difference and i clssed semi-pro as really too easy and and not fun to play at all, The defences seem so hard to break down or find space and the AI makes outrageous lunging tackles to stop me. Headers have been groken for a few years IMHO so where is the value in buying a big tall target player and set up for wing play. I love unwinding with FC26 but eveything feels broken or too hard the last few weeks and i don't want to take up knitting... not quite yet. Please fix the game EA or i will buy £90 worth of wool next season.
