It is a weird one. In ways it feels like we have less options like manually moving players etc... But I think that was glitched.
Though the in and out of possession was needed as that is modern football and we need to be able to give these instructions to teams.
It is easy to use. And to be honest if you have trouble understanding it Google Gemini can explain step by step to you how to use it.
