Seriously EA? What Exactly Are You Saving These Cards For? FC 27?
One thing I always appreciated about previous FC games was the end of the cycle.
For almost the entire year, we deal with terrible pack weight, endless grinding, duplicates, disappointing rewards, and the constant frustration of chasing cards we probably won't pack.
But at least at the very end, EA used to loosen the grip.
Pack weight improved. The cards you had been chasing all year finally became obtainable. And if you were still unlucky enough to miss certain players, many of them eventually appeared as SBCs.
That was basically the final reward for putting up with an entire year of this game.
You could finally build the ridiculous squad you wanted, try the cards you had been chasing for months, have some fun, and finish the game cycle on a positive note.
It almost worked like therapy before voluntarily signing yourself up for another year of the exact same nonsense.
FC 26 somehow managed to ruin even that.
I am doing 85x10s EVERY SINGLE DAY until I literally get soft banned.
And I STILL have 97 rated cards I haven't packed.
97 rated cards.
At the END of the game.
And when it comes to the 99 rated endgame cards, I still haven't packed the vast majority of them.
How is that even remotely reasonable?
Seriously, EA, what exactly are you saving these cards for? FC 27?
Are you worried that if people actually get to use these cards for a few weeks before the game dies, the Ultimate Team economy is going to collapse?
News flash: the game is basically over.
These cards have almost no remaining lifespan. Nobody is asking for incredible pack weight in November, December, or January. We're talking about the FINAL WEEKS of the game cycle.
Why are we still opening 85x10 after 85x10 and watching the same useless cards walk out over and over again?
What is the purpose of keeping endgame cards artificially rare at this point?
Who benefits from this?
Because it certainly isn't the players.
Previous games at least gave you that final period where you could say:
"Okay, this year was frustrating, but at least the ending was fun."
FC 26 doesn't even give me that.
Instead, I'm reaching the end of the cycle burned out, annoyed, and completely sick of opening packs.
And now I'm supposed to take that exact frustration, buy FC 27, reset my club to zero, and happily start the whole process again?
No thanks.
The end of FC 26 isn't making me excited for FC 27.
It's doing the exact opposite.
It's reminding me why I might not want to buy FC 27 at all.
