It's exactly the same. It started out as a fun game but after all the weekly patches, it feels exactly like FC25. There are games where you can do whatever you want and other games where everything feels delayed and sluggish. The first few weeks after release had smooth gameplay but now it's again a constant struggle with your controller. A drag of one frustration after another of players not executing assigned tasks or buttons that don't respond. Every game feels sort of the same, there is no soul or own identity. Each patch description says: 'we fixed inconsistencies in the game', but I only see even more of them popping up.
Do yourself a favor, do NOT buy this game

Stay on the game you're enjoying, stress free mate.
Stay away from this dumpster fire, it literally gets worse week by week.
Gameplay, rewards shockingly bad. Content average at best, but usually bad.
They even broke Squad battles this year, that's how bad it is...

Look I will give you the result of each decision.
- buying fc26 will make you : loose your mind , money , hair and you will be stressed and angry all the time while playing.
- not buying fc26 will save: money, mind , time , hair and you can buy a game that you enjoy playing without stress.
and the last decision is up to you

Don't get it even if they paid you $23.99 (joking of course). Chances are it will cost you a lot more money when you factor in the cost of premium passes and player packs from store. They keep releasing better and better players so you will feel pressured to keep buying in order to stay competitive. For example, I preordered and received an Icon. He lasted about a month in my first team before becoming obsolete (less than 100 games).
I constantly have a tough time connecting to the servers. When I do, I get unstable connection like it's part of the gameplay. The blame always falls on the users and their ISPs because EA is perfect. They keep making all these micro updates that make the gameplay worse and the CPU more difficult.
I love soccer/football and this game is anything but that. Even the career modes have gotten too complex for me. I spend more time monitoring my players development than actually playing the game. Individual fitness plans? What's next meal plans?
If I could get a refund, I would. At this point, I'm just trying to complete the trophies ASAP so I can stop playing entirely. Then I'm going back to not buying these games. Save your money and more importantly your sanity.

Avoid

Hi, I am going to bang my Seasons mode drum again. So don't mind me.
Ultimate Team is everything that is wrong with this game. From stupidly unrealistic goals and stupid gameplay with women destroying the best males with crazy agility and unrealistic strength (it's the truth) even in 2025 one can call out unrealistic behaviour with that. The players need to know.
If you support a team or like a team in the real world. I would recommend taking a stock team on Seasons mode and trying to get to Div 1 and win it. And then try and stay there and win it as much as possible. The stats are not stupid and overinflated. Just give it a go. And tbh for $23.99 you will get your moneys worth.
Just make sure you avoid Ultimate Team.
All this is based on my own opinion and have to discuss further.
Thanks.

Stay away. It's garbage. They delete every post if someone complains about it.

I am not an EA employee or sympathiser but claiming they are deleting posts criticising the game is not right or fair. Considering the forums are mostly used for complaints (justified or not) EA do not remove posts unless they are offensive.
And to be fair to EA, not a lot of posts are constructive or broken down with any realistic football logic. Some people are just angry that they can't defend, score or spam stupid moves. That makes the game rubbish in their opinion.
I have my gripes and try to post constructive posts that often no one else posts in and contributes to. But then I see 10 posts about people having issues with boots or some other non other game breaking thing. These forums are weird and not as constructive as years gone by when there was some solid contributions.
I dont claim the game is perfect. But I can assure you that these forums make up a seriously small number of people. Thousands and thousands are online and playing. I always agree that game breaking exploits should be a priority and there is no place for stupid skills chain moves etc... People then complain about Ultimate Team not being realistic. The whole mode is arcade. I dont know what part people dont understand with it. The mode is a joke. I'll take any dig I can at it.
It's the ruination of this game and has been for years. People believe UT is football. It really isn't and is just a glorified card collection mode that warrants nothing. And the way people play it online is a disgrace to football. That one is on EA for allowing it.
On another note. Those who claim the game started off fun. They are not wrong, However, no one could defend. 99% of goals were brain dead stupid turning in circles and fidget spinning until a defender moved slightly the wrong way (because jockey was broken) then score. Kick offs were glitches and so many goals came from them. People scoring rainbow flick volleys non stop too. Corners had a couple of easy routes to goal. Wingers did not make smart runs. People were running around with a striker or CDM while AI defence won the ball (this still needs work to force people to defend). The game speed was too fast and strikers were to agile while defenders moved like tug boats. That did need work to balance the defending vs attack. EA have a battle with the majority wanting realistic gameplay while content creators often want stupid chain skills and easy ways to score (low driven shot - That needs more nerfing btw).
For me, giving this game more the Pro Evolution Soccer 6 vibes is the ultimate and that game was trying to be realistic football for its time. Yes, Adriano was a beast.

Whilst I agree with a lot of what you've said they also ignore the constructive, non aggressive posts too.
