can't be skill-based as i just faced a player who is at least 3 divisions above me ^^ i guess it's more the lord voldemort thing that you're not alloud to win the next match so you gotta face an opponent who gotta win no matter what so you get matched against this :/
matchmaking feels very random outside of champs (matchmaking so that you win at least 7 games no matter what) and rivals (own division) so i gotta play at certain times to stay away from better players which is very annoying.
I believe that MM should be as balanced as possible in any online competition...
ALL players should experience a minimum level of satisfaction from playing, obviously proportionate to their skill.
For example, an ELITE division player will win much more than a D8 or D9 player, but that's also right.
However, if you don't develop a MM that also takes into account the skills of less talented players, they'll eventually abandon the game if they start losing too much.
And players are an ASSET for EA, and if many leave, they'll lose a lot of profits and interest in the game.
For example, I, who have been playing continuously for seven years, am very close to quitting the game, even two months after day one.

Regarding the MM, I completely understand what you mean, but allow me to raise an objection...
I started playing on September 19th, starting at D8 because in FC25 I had reached D5 once (only once), but I usually played D6 more often.
I don't know if I'd call myself an average player, but I have to admit that I couldn't have played in divisions higher than D6.
Returning to this year's game, as I said, in the first season I started at D8, after a few games I dropped to D9, and then managed to climb back up to D7 once.
In the current season, the second, I haven't been able to get beyond D8 and have played most of the games at D9.
At this point, my question is:
Why do I so often face players in divisions significantly higher than D8? So there could be two solutions:
A) the MM system is very imprecise and makes me play the first player I encounter;
B) My opponents, who are clearly stronger, play D8 but somehow circumvent the system to have an easy time against weaker players like me.
In any case, whatever the answer, it's very frustrating to play like this!
You're proving my point, bro. Why does the game match you with someone three divisions above you? It's based on skill level, not your division...
