Suggestion: Dynamic Minifaces in Career Mode (Real Players + Regens)
Would love to see EASPORTSFC let minifaces in Career Mode match the team's kit colors. Real players + regens feel disconnected from the club. Any plans to address this for immersion?
When a real player is transferred to a new club, their miniface still shows them wearing the kit of their old club (or a plain training kit).
Regens always appear with a default-colored jersey, which doesn't change based on the team they play for.
Why Does This Happen?
Minifaces are static images — essentially pre-rendered assets. EA doesn’t dynamically generate minifaces in your club’s kit.
For real players, their miniface comes from official renders taken while they were at a particular club or international duty. EA doesn’t update the miniface to match your career mode transfers.
For regens, the image is auto-generated with a random/default kit color (based on an internal template), and that image doesn’t update regardless of which club you sign them to.
This can feel immersion-breaking, especially in Career Mode, where you’d expect visual elements to reflect your team’s identity (e.g., seeing all players in your club’s colors).
EA FC Could Fix This By:
Using 3D player model renders for all minifaces, not static photos.
Re-coloring regen/player miniface backgrounds based on club colors.
Allowing clubs to auto-assign team kit overlays for consistency.
Letting players generate custom minifaces in Career Mode (even AI-generated).
Examples of Games That Handle Player Portraits or Avatars Better:
NBA 2K Series (2K Sports), NHL Series (EA Sports), Madden NFL (EA Sports), Football Manager (Sports Interactive)
Anyone else wish minifaces reflected your club’s kit in Career Mode?
