Hey everyone,

FC 26 ratings aren’t out yet, but based on past trends, I’m already worried about how underrated players like James Tarkowski and Jordan Pickford will be.

James Tarkowski — Likely Underrated

Tarkowski was arguably the top-performing centre-back in Europe last season, even outperforming big names like Virgil van Dijk. Yet if EA follows previous trends, he’ll probably still get a low rating around 80, which doesn’t reflect his performances.

Jordan Pickford — England’s Number One

Pickford has been one of the most consistent Premier League goalkeepers, with 12 clean sheets last season. As England’s number one, he deserves recognition, but it wouldn’t surprise me if his rating stays low compared to less consistent keepers.

Playstyle Selection Concerns

Another worry is how playstyles are assigned. EA has a history of giving premium playstyles to hype players, while consistent performers like Tarkowski and Pickford may end up with generic or underwhelming playstyles. This can make Career Mode and Ultimate Team feel unbalanced from day one.
