Were players earning too many coins vs World Class AI?

It just seems like such an odd move to make the world class ai so overpowered. It's almost hilarious watching the world class ai now (in kick off) as they constantly skip from one animation to another half way through...

The only reason I can think of to make it so OP (compared to Legendary) is that online people were earning too many coins this way and this had to be stopped. 

BTW... the ai is not more intelligent... it just cheats. It can run faster, pass harder, intercept passes from a great distance, and tackle through the player legs (Literally just clipping through to get to the ball) So I think someone needs to talk to the Devs about what smarter AI actually constitutes.
