71 problem

I'm playing FC 26 player career mode and noticed a bug. Even though I'm developing my player, the total score doesn't exceed 71. I tried methods I found online and logged into the game without an internet connection, after resetting the player's performance points. It didn't work. I read that this bug has been present in previous games and has been fixed in updates. How on earth did you let the same bug slip into your latest version, and how should I proceed now? Should I start a new game, or when will you fix this?
