EA FC 26 PC – EA AntiCheat Driver Not Installing, Game Closes (Error 87)
Hi everyone, EA FC 26 crashes (closes unexpectedly) during PvP because EA AntiCheat’s driver eaanticheat.sys never installs on Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.4349 / 6899), showing Error 87 when trying to start the service. I’m having a persistent issue with EA FC 26 on PC that completely prevents me from playing online (PvP) modes. The EA AntiCheat service fails to start because the driver file eaanticheat.sys never installs. Symptoms: EA FC 26 crashes during PvP matches (e.g., Rivals, Ultimate Team). Closing the game without a fault on-screen, as if you were to press ALT+F4, that's how its closing down. Event Viewer shows: Faulting application: eaanticheat.gameservice.exe Faulting module: ntdll.dll Exception code: 0xc0000374 EA AntiCheat service cannot start manually, with this error: Windows could not start the EAAntiCheatService service on Local Computer. Error 87: The parameter is incorrect No eaanticheat.sys file is present in C:\Windows\System32\drivers or C:\Program Files\EA\AC. System Details: Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100.4349) - Have also been on Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100.6899) trying the same steps and trouble shooting but downgraded to a previous version to see if that would work but to no avail. EA AntiCheat version 10.0.14379.0 Memory Integrity tested both ON and OFF Antivirus: AVG (tested disabled) Troubleshooting already done: Full clean Windows reinstall Reinstalled EA AntiCheat multiple times (Admin mode, Safe Mode, all drives tested) Disabled Memory Integrity, antivirus, and background services Ran sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth → both clean Tried manual service creation via sc create → fails with “The system cannot find the file specified” ALL of my drivers are up to date. Provided EA with my DxDiag and they confirmed no faults. Spoke to EA regarding everything and after following all of their troubleshooting options I have been left unable to play and with them unable to provide a fix. Current Status: EA AntiCheat driver never installs → service fails to start → PvP modes crash (closes) consistently. Everything else, to my knowledge in Ultimate Team (offline / Squad Battles) runs fine. EA have been made aware and have opened a 'Ticket', which they have now CLOSED as they are unable to provide any further assistance. They have said that this issue has been escalated to the 'Game Team' who will now work on a potential fix, however sadly this isn't guaranteed! Request: Can EA confirm if EA AntiCheat currently supports Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.4349) & Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100.6899), as I would like to go back to the up to date software update and if there’s a working installer or fix to correctly deploy the eaanticheat.sys driver? The game is unplayable on PC due to lags, stutters and input delays. There are complaints going back almost three months and EA does not even make a statement they are aware of this issue. They don't even answer any complaint about stutters, fps drops or input delays. They are actively ignoring players. The topics in which I opened the subject are being removed, and my complaints about their removal are being removed. I feel like I've been scammed. Update: 20 days has passed. A new patch has been published. Problem is worse then it was pre patch. Not even a single moderator gave a **bleep** about this discussion. Atleast they address it on their patch notes so I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to play smoothly in april I suppose. Never buying this game(scam) ever again Update: 24th day for this discussion. More then 4 months for every other player who has this problem. A day before toty and still no solution. Even saw a moderator who believes its not about the game but its computers. Address it better next time scEAmmers. Update: 27th day and problem goes on. Quited many games as they started because of stutter problem. I missed Yamal bug but it's alright (nice marketing move guys). Also disconnection problems started. It seems like problems and game gets worse day by day. I plan on making more of these updates to document how incompetent EA is. Day29: Dda has turned my gaming into a complete nightmare. Couldn't pass, consecutive shots hitting the post, my players forgetting how to run etc. Couldn't win even a single match today. I'm pretty sure this game will be the last time I pay EA. Day31: Input delay is back. Couldn't play a single game smoothly. I wasn't expecting that you guys would care enough to fix other problems but making input delay a problem again after an update was a big surprise for me. Guess EA just doesn't want their players to play their game. Day34: Due to input delay couldn't finish any of my event objectives. I couldn't get my squad or rivals rewards too. Opened more then 200 packs after full release and best I could get was TOTW cards. Feels like I got soft banned. I can't play or can't pack proper players. Hey EA give me a heads up if you don't want me to play your game. I promise I won't buy fc27 (I don't want to get scammed once more) but atleast would you let me play this one? Day35: Is it that hard to take your updates back to the states where stutters and input delays were not a problem? Are you guys that imcompetent or is it intentional? Just admit you screwed big time. Nobody likes your game anymore. How can they love your game when you caused them not to be able to play for four months? Forums are full of complaints and you guys don't even answer them. Hello EA Support, I am experiencing an issue that is isolated specifically to Pro Clubs on the PS5 version of EA FC. I play both the PS4 and PS5 versions on the same PSN and EA account, and Pro Clubs works perfectly on the PS4 version. However, on the PS5 version, Pro Clubs consistently shows “Can’t connect to server,” while all other online modes on PS5 (including Ultimate Team and online play) work normally. This confirms that the issue is not related to my network, Wi-Fi, NAT type, or console. I have already tried restarting the console and network, logging out and back into PSN, clearing local saved data, checking cross-play settings, and leaving and rejoining the club via PS4, with no success. Given that the issue is isolated to PS5 Pro Clubs only, this appears to be a server-side PS5 Pro Clubs profile sync or corruption issue. I am requesting a server-side reset or resync of my PS5 Pro Clubs profile and would appreciate this being escalated to the appropriate team. Just loaded up the game and tried getting into a kickoff match. All settings on auto, vsync on (but I've tried off too). The game is just running incredible slow in matches. Unlike anything I've seen before. FPS is as high as 105, but it's like I'm playing at 0.25x speed. The game is unplayable for me. Anyone experiencing a similar issue? Ever since the latest update (patch 1.4.1 or whatever it was), the online game modes have been completely unplayable. Everything worked fine before this update was released. I can't play Rivals, Champs or any Live Events. Rush and Squad Battles works fine (with occasional slow motion gameplay). I can't even pause the game in the said online modes without having to spam the pause button (which will then cause the game to randomly pause after 1-2 minutes). Surprisingly, the pause menu options and controls work perfectly without any lag. This has been a major issue almost throughout TOTY. There's swap tokens released now that are time limited and live event based. How is one supposed to even try to get these without even being able to play the game? Before anyone says about my internet connection or controller, I have tried both Ethernet and Wi-Fi as well as different controllers. The issue remains the same. I have 0 issues with any other online games I play on ultra settings, so this is 100% not an issue with my system. The main tagline for this year's FC 26 was that they are listening to user feedback and keeping us updated. Forget communication, there has been 0 acknowledgment of this ongoing issue by EA which is completely unacceptable. I bought the TOTY version of the game so I cannot even ask for a refund.
