Instant Crash to Desktop (CTD) 5 Seconds After Connecting to EA Servers
My game crashes completely to the desktop with no error code or warning exactly 3 to 5 seconds after the "Connecting to the EA Servers..." prompt finishes. If I launch the game in Offline Mode, it works completely fine. I can stay in the menus forever with zero performance issues or crashes. The exact moment I hit "Reconnect" to go online, it instantly crashes to the desktop. Because it works offline, my local game files and hardware are completely fine. What i have aleready tried: 1.Completely uninstalled and cleanly reinstalled the game, and repaired it. 2.Cleared the EA App cache and ran App Recovery. 3.Verified and completely reinstalled the EA Javelin Anti-Cheat (log successfully reads "Install Success"). 4.Forced administrative privileges on both the EA App and the FC 26.exe file. 5.Whitelisted the game and anti-cheat through Windows Defender / Controlled Folder Access. What a load of. The game has been working fine for months, an update comes in and boom, I can't play the game at all. Don't start with the excuses of saying hardware because nothing has changed on my pc since before the update. The fact that there are numerous of other reports about this and you have done nothing about it even after 2 weeks. Billiondollar company and you never fail to mess something up.16Views1like0CommentsOnline Friendlies Should Allow Custom Settings and Legacy Defending Again
Hi everyone, I would like to share an important issue that has been affecting my experience in FC 26 and previous titles. In one of the updates released this year, the “Custom” settings option was removed from Online Friendlies, and now only Competitive Mode is available. Because of this change, Legacy Defending can no longer be selected in this mode. I understand that competitive rules are necessary in modes like Ultimate Team, Rivals, or other ranked matches. However, Online Friendlies is different. This mode exists so that players can play casually with their own friends. It is basically the online version of sitting next to your friend at home and playing together. When we play locally at home, no one forces us to use competitive settings. We can choose our own gameplay style. Online Friendlies used to offer the same freedom. That is why many of us preferred this mode. For many years, I have been buying this game mainly to play with my friends through Online Friendlies. My friends live in different cities, so this mode allows us to play as if we were together in the same room. We do not play Ultimate Team. We are not interested in competitive rankings. We just want to enjoy football with our friends. Before this change, Online Friendlies was perfect for this purpose. We could choose Custom settings and enable Legacy Defending, which fits our playstyle and makes the game more enjoyable for us. Now, with only Competitive Mode available, Online Friendlies feels almost the same as Ultimate Team or other competitive modes. There is no real difference anymore. This removes the meaning of “Friendlies” for players like us. Another important point is that when I purchased FC 26, Legacy Defending and Custom settings were available in Online Friendlies. This feature was part of the product I paid for. Removing it later through updates is disappointing and feels unfair to long-time players. I understand that EA may want to standardize gameplay for esports and competitive balance. However, this should not affect a mode that is designed only for playing with friends. There is no reason to force competitive rules in a private, friendly environment. If Online Friendlies is going to follow the same rules as Ultimate Team, then it loses its purpose. In that case, everyone might as well just play Ultimate Team. Many players like me buy this game every year mainly for this mode. It is the main reason we stay loyal to the series. Taking away this freedom makes us question whether it is still worth buying. I kindly ask EA to consider bringing back the Custom settings option and Legacy Defending in Online Friendlies through a future update. This small change would greatly improve the experience for many loyal players. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope this feedback will be taken seriously.638Views4likes2CommentsXbox Controller unilaterally disabled at online kickoff
Hello, I am reporting a critical Kernel-level incompatibility bug with EA Anticheat in EA Sports FC 26 for PC, which completely breaks online gameplay. My Xbox controller works flawlessly across all game menus and in every offline mode (such as Kick-off and Manager Career). However, the exact millisecond an online match kicks off (e.g., Seasons / Rivals), a unilateral input block occurs. The exact behavior of the bug: The online match starts, the connection to the server remains perfect with zero lag, and I can see my opponent running, passing, and playing normally on my screen. However, my controller is completely disabled by the game. I watch the match unfold in real-time, but the game ignores 100% of my inputs (I cannot run, pass, shoot, or switch players). To completely isolate the issue and eliminate any doubt regarding third-party software conflicts, I have performed a CLEAN INSTALLATION (FROM SCRATCH) of Windows 11 on my machine. My system state during the test: Windows 11 was formatted from scratch and is strictly clean. The ONLY software installed on the SSD is EA Sports FC 26 (via EA App/Steam). There is absolutely nothing else installed on the PC (no third-party antivirus, no active NVIDIA overlays, no virtual/remote display apps, no controller remappers like HidHide or DS4Windows). The Xbox controller firmware is fully updated via the Xbox Accessories app. The bug occurs identically whether connected via USB cable (plugged directly into the native ports) or via Bluetooth. Since the issue persists identically on a freshly formatted, completely bare operating system, it is evident that EA Anticheat is triggering a hardware false-positive. It misinterprets my machine's native controller hardware or motherboard input bus as a threat upon server validation and cuts my inputs specifically (Input Block) while keeping the opponent active. System Specifications: CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700H GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU + Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics RAM: 64 GB OS: Windows 11 (Clean Install, fully updated via Windows Update). As an advanced user, I have exhausted every humanly possible troubleshooting step on the operating system side. I need this case escalated urgently to the EA Anticheat engineering and development team for a patch fix. Looking forward to an official response.22Views0likes0CommentsBlack screen in the middle of the screen
Hey every time I try using the player lock a black screen pops up in the middle of my screen and I can’t move my players until I press the left stick so I can’t use the player lock and sometimes by accident I press it and my players stop playing until i press the left stick again I’ve been having this issue since December and I’ve talk with support and told me that is a glitch and fit is not my fault so I can’t do anything about it they’ve told me they were going to resolve this issue in the updates but nothing has changed and is very frustrating because other people can use the player lock while I can’t do anything about mine. This only happens on games and it is so annoying I quit the game for 3 months and when i got back I was hoping the solve this problem but they haven’t so I am probably going to stop playing again until they resolve this issue.8Views0likes0CommentsTitle: FC 26 Rivals Input Delay with New Xbox Controller (PC)
Title: FC 26 Rivals Input Delay with New Xbox Controller (PC) Hi everyone, I'm having a strange issue in FC 26 and I'm not sure if it's my controller, the game, or EA servers. I recently got a new Xbox controller and I'm playing on PC. The controller is connected via USB (not Bluetooth), and my internet is connected through Ethernet. The weird thing is that everything works perfectly in Squad Battles and other game modes, including some online modes like Rush. The gameplay feels responsive and I have no issues at all. However, when I play Rivals, the game feels completely different. Players react 2-3 seconds late to my inputs. Shots don't happen when I press the button, passes are delayed, and dribbling and player movement feel very unresponsive. Before matches, my ping usually shows around 20-23 ms, so the connection looks fine on paper. My PC performance also seems okay. CPU usage stays below 90%, GPU usage is around 99%, and GPU temperature is about 77°C. Because the controller works normally in every other mode, I don't think it's a hardware issue. It feels like the delay only happens in Rivals. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this a server/input delay issue, a PC settings issue, or something related to FC 26 Rivals specifically? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.67Views2likes1Comment
