Dark Pitch on Squad Battles

Hi. Just bought the game yesterday after around 6-7 years of not playing console games. 

Have started playing Ultimate Teams to try and unlock transfer window (which I think is disgraceful after paying nearly £100 for the game!), and one of the objectives is to play 5 squad battles, but when I go to play one, it shows the pitch at first but as soon as the graphics start to show the teams, the pitch does dark apart from the player indicators, so I've got no way of seeing where my players are or where the ball is!

Does anyone know how to fix this? Really starting to regret coming back to playing these games after so many years with stuff like this happening.
