FC26 crashes offensive free kicks
Hi,
I am contacting you regarding a technical issue with FC26 that I purchased as part of a PS5 bundle during Black Friday. The bundle included a redeem code to download the digital version of the game.
Since installing FC26 on my PS5 (Standard Edition), the entire console crashes every time there is an offensive free kick in the game. The issue occurs consistently and makes the game unplayable.
I have already taken the following steps:
- Sent my PS5 console in for service to Sony.
- Sony examined the console and confirmed that there is no hardware fault, and that the crashes are caused by the game itself.
- Rebuilt the database.
- Cleared the cache.
- Restored the console to factory settings.
- Reinstalled the game multiple times.
- Lowered the graphics settings.
None of these actions have resolved the issue.
What makes this situation even more unusual is that we have a PS5 Standard Edition at my workplace where FC26 runs perfectly when played from disc. This makes me wonder whether the issue could be related specifically to the digital version obtained via the redeem code.
How can I proceed to resolve this matter? Is it possible to exchange the digital version for a physical disc version, or is there another solution that would allow me to play the game without the console crashing?
