FC26 on Switch 2: How to create/link player 2 account?

Hi. We just got FC26 on the Switch 2 for me and my 9-year-old daughter to play together.

We've been playing Fifa 18 for years, and there are some settings in FC26 that we want to change to make the experience more familiar.

We can both change the settings, but the second player's settings are forgotten after one match and need to be re-set for every match. (Player 1 settings are remembered.)

There doesn't appear to be any way to save Player 2 settings, and no way to create an account/profile for Player 2.

Is there any way to make Player 2 settings persistent?
