Gameplay

I started a rivals game and all my players had a white icon above their head as if it wasn’t me controlling them. Turns out I couldn’t control my own players except for the player I started on which was my striker, opponent ended up scoring 2 free goals and I had to leave the game and get demoted back to div 5 in order to fix it, how do I stop this from happening again?
