Re: Input delay and game lagging(after the first half) PC
I’m experiencing severe gameplay delay and slow-motion issues specifically in online modes (especially Pro Clubs and Division Rivals) in FC 26, and after extensive testing I’m confident this is not a hardware-related problem.
Offline modes like Kick-Off run perfectly smooth with stable frametimes, no input delay, and no performance issues. However, in online matches the gameplay becomes sluggish, inputs are delayed by up to 1–2 seconds, and the game often feels like it is running in slow motion. I can also occasionally hear menu navigation sounds while actively playing, even though no menu is visible. The issue immediately resolves when I pause the game or during set pieces (corners/free kicks), which strongly suggests a real-time synchronization or server timing issue rather than a rendering problem.
I have monitored performance closely:
- Frametime is stable (no stutter or FPS drops)
- CPU/GPU are not throttling or crashing
- System diagnostics (DxDiag) show no major errors
- Offline gameplay is consistently smooth
Network stats during matches show:
- Ping: ~38–42 ms (stable)
- Jitter: very low
- Packet loss: ~0.3%–1% (intermittent)
- Occasional latency spikes under load
I have already tried:
- Wired Ethernet connection
- QoS configuration on router
- DNS changes (Google / Cloudflare)
- System and driver optimizations
- Lowering in-game settings and FPS caps
- Eliminating background applications
I would appreciate if EA could investigate:
- Server-side synchronization handling under minor packet loss
- Routing quality to servers (especially for my region)
- Why the game slows down instead of maintaining input responsiveness
This issue makes online modes, especially Pro Clubs, very difficult to play despite having otherwise stable performance.
Thank you.
