Javelin anticheat "unacceptable configuration" 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7

FC 26 on Steam won't start anymore. Javelin kills it before the game even loads and I get this:

"EA Javelin Anticheat has detected an unacceptable configuration. Please ensure no cheat-related or tampering software is active and restart the game. (0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7)"

I opened a ticket and EA Help basically told me there's nothing else they can do and to come post here, so here I am. Also curious if anyone else is getting this exact code.

Specs: Windows 11 (build 26200, 25H2, not on Insider), RX 7600 XT, Ryzen. Secure Boot is on, Defender is on with Tamper Protection enabled.

The annoying part is it worked fine for months, including earlier the same day it broke. I didn't install anything or change any hardware in between.

Every single attempt gives the same thing in Event Viewer:

  • "Failed retrieving service path" from EA Javelin Anticheat
  • about 45 seconds later, "ExitType: 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7 (0x8655617090BA3024)"
  • then EAAntiCheatService gets removed from the system

Stuff I've already tried, none of it made any difference:

  • Uninstalled the game and the EA app, then manually deleted everything that was left over (C:\Program Files\EA\AC, C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts, C:\ProgramData\eaanticheat, AppData\Local\Electronic Arts) and removed both the EAAntiCheatService and EAAntiCheat service registrations. Then reinstalled from scratch.
  • Reinstalled the anticheat on its own with EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe and ran Repair. It says ServiceInstall success, CertificateInstall success, Install success, and then the game still fails.
  • Clean boot, and way too many reboots
  • sfc /scannow, came back clean
  • Checked Secure Boot is on, no test signing, no kernel debugging enabled
  • Disabled every third party kernel driver I have, one by one and then all at once (Oculus ViGEmBus, AMD Ryzen Master V29/V31/V32, MSI Center NTIOLib_X64.sys and amigendrv64.sys). Right now literally zero non Microsoft kernel drivers are loading.
  • Uninstalled Cold Turkey Blocker and NordVPN and cleaned out their leftover firewall rules
  • Checked all the VC++ redistributables and runtime DLLs are there
  • Updated GPU and chipset drivers
  • Verified game files through Steam

A few things that make me think this isn't something on my end:

  1. After the clean reinstall, the error now happens before EAAntiCheatService even gets registered, so it's failing the environment check, not the service setup.
  2. The EAAntiCheat kernel driver actually loads fine every time (FilterManager Event ID 6) and unloads cleanly, so the driver itself works.
  3. EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe and EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe are both version 1.0.15166423.0, so no version mismatch.
  4. There's no crash dump at all, because it's getting rejected rather than crashing.

If anyone is seeing 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7 specifically, please reply. Trying to figure out if this is a wider Javelin thing or just my account or hardware ID getting flagged.

I've got DxDiag, an export of 85 Javelin error events, the system log for EAAntiCheat and EA's own launcher logs if anyone needs them.

    Guys i found the solution

Solved for me - Mobile Hotspot fixed the Javelin error.

I was getting the exact EA Javelin AntiCheat error:

    0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7

FC 26 would not launch at all.

I tried a full game reinstall, EA AntiCheat reinstall, clean boot, removing VPN and controller software, checking drivers, Windows troubleshooting, and other steps. Nothing worked.

What finally fixed it was changing the internet connection.

I completely closed the EA App and disconnected my PC from my normal home internet.

Then I enabled mobile data on my phone, turned on Mobile Hotspot, and connected my PC to the phone hotspot.

While still connected to the mobile hotspot, I opened the EA App and launched FC 26.

EA Javelin was then able to initialize correctly and the game launched successfully.

After FC 26 opened successfully once, I closed the game, switched back to my normal home internet connection, and the game continued to work.

So in my case, the problem appears to have been related to the network or ISP route used by EA Javelin during initialization or update, not corrupted game files or cheat-related software.

If anyone is getting the same error, try completely closing EA App, connecting the PC to a phone mobile hotspot using mobile data, and launching FC 26 while still connected to the hotspot.

Once the game launches successfully, try switching back to your normal internet connection.

This fixed the issue for me after many other troubleshooting steps failed.

Hopefully EA can investigate why Javelin fails on certain ISP or network routes, because the "unacceptable configuration" message was very misleading in this case.

  • same error message the same 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7 specifically and i found no solution

    Same issue here.

FC 26 fails to launch with the exact same EA Javelin error:

    0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7

    Event Viewer also shows:

    EA Javelin Anticheat
    Event ID: 1000
    ExitType: 0xB3829EB7DE50BDB7 (0x8655617090BA3024)

I have already tried a complete FC 26 reinstall, EA AntiCheat reinstall, clean boot, and removing possible conflicting VPN, controller and emulator software, but the issue still remains.

I hope EA can investigate this issue because it appears to be affecting multiple users and the standard troubleshooting steps are not fixing it.

  • Hey Op.

Exactly thats what happening to me all of sudden. i never installed any third party cheat engines or trainer stuffs. it was working fine till yesterday evening and i opened different game for few hours and when i came back, it all of sudden made my brain a mess.
