[PC] Keyboard-only player – forced "Keyboard + Mouse" input (Unplayable)
Hello everyone,
I purchased FC 26 on launch day and played perfectly fine using **keyboard only** — no mouse, no controller.
I did *not* update the game. After taking a break and launching it again the next day, the game suddenly forced the input mode into “Keyboard + Mouse” and now keyboard-only input is completely disabled.
What I have tried so far:
- Fully disconnecting any mouse (USB and wireless dongle)
- Disabling mouse drivers in Device Manager
- Turning off Steam Input
- Launching via EA App instead of Steam
- Deleting the `Documents\FC 26` folder entirely
- Setting new settings files to read-only
- Disabling a second monitor
- Launching the game using keyboard only (no mouse input at all)
Nothing has worked. The game keeps showing “New input detected” and locks into “Keyboard + Mouse” mode, even when no mouse is connected.
This issue did **not** exist at launch and appeared out of nowhere without updates.
It seems EA is pulling input preferences from the cloud or user profile, forcing an incorrect input mode.
As a result, **keyboard-only players are completely locked out**. This is a serious issue and accessibility problem.
Please investigate this and provide a way to reset cloud-stored input preferences for accounts.
