Re: Crashing on PC
Hi everyone,
Since launch I cannot play standard 11v11 matches in EA Sports FC 26 because the game always crashes during gameplay. The crash usually happens right after a referee interruption or cutscene (foul, free kick, corner, etc.). It runs smooth and then just closes without an error message.
Key facts:
- Rush mode works perfectly, no crashes at all.
- Problem only happens in normal matches with referee cutscenes.
- Not tied to a specific team, stadium, or minute (sometimes at 10’, sometimes at 34’, sometimes later).
- Madden NFL 26 and other EA titles run fine on the same PC.
What I already tried (didn’t fix it):
- Full reinstall of the game
- Deleted cache and shader files (Documents\EA Sports FC 26 and AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\Cache)
- Tested both DX11 (-dx11) and DX12 (-dx12)
- GPU drivers and Windows fully updated
- Repaired game files via EA App
- Disabled overlays (Discord, NVIDIA, EA App)
- Created and tested with a new Windows user profile
- Ran the game on lowest graphics settings and with an FPS cap
- Tested with different controllers and without controller
I have already opened two support tickets on 2025-09-20 and 2025-09-25 but I have not received any reply yet.
This looks like a game engine bug in standard 11v11 matches, since Rush and other EA titles are stable. Can anyone confirm if EA is already investigating this? Any advice appreciated.
