Re: PC Controller NOT WORKING online - Why it fails and how to temporarily solve it

Hello EA Support,

 

I am experiencing an issue where my controller does not work in Rivals mode in EA SPORTS FC 26. The controller works perfectly fine in menus and other offline modes, but when I enter an online Rivals match, it completely stops responding.

 

Here are the details:

 

Platform: PC (Windows [write your version])

 

Game version: FC 26 (latest update)

 

Controller: [e.g., Xbox Series X controller / PS5 DualSense / PS4 DualShock]

 

Connection type: [Wired / Wireless]

 

Client: [Steam / EA App]

 

 

Troubleshooting I already tried:

 

Disabled Steam Input

 

Ran the game as Administrator

 

Switched between DX11 and DX12

 

Deleted controller settings from Documents\EA Sports\FC 26\Settings

 

Used wired connection instead of Bluetooth

 

Locked FPS to 60 and enabled V-Sync

 

Tried Big Picture mode

 

Tested with DS4Windows (for PlayStation controller)

 

Reinstalled drivers and updated firmware

 

 

Unfortunately, none of these steps worked. The controller still fails only in Rivals mode, while it works everywhere else.

 

Could you please confirm if this is a known bug, and if there is an estimated timeline for a fix or patch? Also, is there any other temporary workaround available?
