FC 26 overheating and shutting down issue on PS5

Hello,

I am a PlayStation 5 user. When a match starts in FC26, it gives an overheating error and suddenly shuts down. When I first got it, it would give this error after 2 or 3 matches, but after the updates, it started doing it as soon as the match began. I would appreciate your information and support regarding a solution. If the problem persists, I would like to return the game.

Thank you

Hi there. This happens when your console is overheating. Make sure the vents are clear of any debris and that your console is in a well-ventilated space. You may also need to open your console and clean it out.

You will need to contact the retailer the game was purchased from to see if a you qualify for a refund. If it was purchased through the EA App, please see this article.

This is a poor response. There are many complex games on PS5, why is FC 26 unique here with such performance overhead. Seems in game monetization is all EA cares about now

Also having same issue. New PlayStation 5 around one month or les not used that much yet. Bought fifa 26 2 days ago. Tried to play it and it caused PlayStation to overheat just trying to load game. Only get as far as main screen of the game.   All other games work perfectly fine just this game causing issues.  EA have a big fix to patch this bug because otherwise they will have to pay to replace all our PlayStations if it damages them with this issue.
