Re: Severe FPS Drops (5-10 FPS) in every game mode, even in Menus

After the first patch I’ve been experiencing a recurring issue, and from what I’ve seen, other PC players are facing the same problem. After cutscenes or during pack animations with a walkout, the FPS suddenly drops from smooth values of 60+ or 120+ down to around 10.

Normally, during the first half of a match, my GPU usage is around 40–50% and CPU usage around 50–60%. Right after halftime, following the cutscenes, GPU usage instantly spikes to 99% and stays there until the end of the match. The only way to fix it is to exit to the Ultimate Team menu.

Interestingly, yesterday I did a completely fresh Windows 11 installation, installed the latest drivers and everything new — but the issue in EA FC 26 still persists. I tried fullscreen, borderless, and windowed modes, with different refresh rate and frame limit settings, and tested V-Sync both on and off. I also tried switching between high and low graphics settings.

The game becomes completely unplayable in the second half — the only option is to close the process or exit the match and return to the Ultimate Team menu.

The bug usually occurs every few matches or randomly during pack animations. Before the first patch, during the preorder period, the game ran without any issues.
