Crash after splash screen
Hello EA Support,
My main EA account crashes immediately after the splash screen in FC26. Event Viewer shows 0xc0000374 in ntdll.dll. I have tried literally everything possible to fix this.
PC Info:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
- GPU Driver: 591.74 WHQL (rollback from 591.86)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4700 (or your exact CPU if you want to include)
- RAM: [Insert your RAM, e.g., 32GB DDR4]
- Windows 11 Version: 25H2 Build 2600.7922
- Storage: SSD, fully updated
- Secure Boot: Enabled, TPM 2.0
- Display: Full HD / 4K monitor, refresh rate [insert if known]
Steps completed:
- Clean Windows 11 25H2 install
- Verified system: Secure Boot, UEFI, TPM 2.0
- Updated all drivers (GPU, chipset, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Realtek, NVIDIA, AMD System drivers, Logitech USB, Alienware firmware, etc.)
- Rolled back NVIDIA RTX 4080 driver from 591.86 → 591.74 (clean install)
- Attempted other driver versions (591.59, 591.44)
- Verified GPU is recognized correctly; confirmed driver installation
- Ran EA App as Administrator
- Cleared EA App cache
- Deleted all local FC26 folders in Documents and AppData (Local & Roaming)
- Tried a new Windows user account
- Tried multiple other devices (PCs)
- Disconnected all linked devices and consoles
- Verified FC25 works perfectly on same PC and same account
- Verified FC26 works perfectly on a different EA account on the same PC
- Tested letting the game compile shaders fully
- Tested lowering resolution / changing fullscreen settings
- Reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables
- Reinstalled DirectX
- Reset Windows Firewall to default
- Checked and corrected system time/date settings
- Changed DNS settings (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1, Google 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4)
- Attempted Beta Unicode UTF-8 locale fix
- Attempted EA demo launch
- Attempted different EA App installs
- Unlinked Steam and re-linked
- Tried multiple volumes for installation
- Tried both USB and local installs
- Verified cloud sync options and attempted deletion
- Tried both “Set up as new PC” and in-place update options
- Verified nothing blocks authentication (Firewall, Admin, network)
- Checked Windows Event Viewer for errors multiple times
- Attempted to switch accounts in-game (did not work)
Observations:
- Crash happens only on main EA account in FC26.
- FC25 works on same PC and same account.
- FC26 works on another EA account.
- Splash → black screen → EA App return.
- Local troubleshooting fully exhausted.
Request:
Please escalate this issue and reset my FC26 cloud/profile data on your servers. This is clearly account-specific, not hardware, Windows, or driver-related.
