Severe input delay (up to 4 seconds) after latest update
I am experiencing a severe input delay issue on PC that makes the game completely unplayable.
The problem first appeared approximately one month ago. At that time, the issue was temporarily resolved by switching the display mode to borderless fullscreen and locking the frame rate to 120 FPS.
After the latest update, the same issue has returned, but it is now significantly worse than before. The input delay can reach up to approximately four seconds, which causes player actions to happen long after the buttons are pressed. Inputs feel queued, and once the problem starts, the match becomes completely unplayable.
This issue only occurs in specific online modes. Rivals and Online Friendlies are affected and become unplayable due to the extreme input delay. In contrast, Rush mode works perfectly without any issues, and Squad Battles as well as all offline modes also work flawlessly.
The issue often starts after corners, free kicks, or other set pieces. Once the problem starts, it does not recover during the match, even if the game is paused. Frame rate and ping remain stable at all times, which confirms that this is not normal lag.
I have already tried multiple graphics settings, including low, medium, high, and custom presets, without any improvement. I have also tested different display modes and frame rate limits. NVIDIA Control Panel settings have been adjusted, including enabling low latency mode, using a fixed refresh rate, applying a frame rate cap, and disabling G-SYNC. Discord and other overlays have been disabled, and my PC performance and network connection have been verified to be working correctly. None of these changes have resolved the issue.
Based on all testing, this appears to be a gameplay or online synchronization bug that affects Rivals and Online Friendlies specifically, rather than a local hardware, graphics, or connectivity problem.
I am playing on a Lenovo Legion Pro 5i laptop with an Intel Core i7-13700HX processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. The game is running on Windows 11, and I am using an external MSI G274F 27-inch monitor with a 1920×1080 resolution and a 180 Hz refresh rate.
