On PS5 in Ultimate Team, after every match finishes I get ‘EA servers are unable to process your request’ and the game disconnects

If you're being kicked back to the game's main menu, then it could be a soft-ban, yes. They can be triggered by leaving a bunch of games in a short span of time, and usually expire by themselves in about 24 hours.
