I have been unable to buy or bid on any items in the transfer market for the last three weeks. This happened after i bid on several common gold cards to use in the SBC’s. Everything was working fine then suddenly this message started to appear every time i try to make a bid or buy now:
“There was an error communicating with the football ultimate team servers. Please try again.”
Leaving a reply just in case it helps anyone. I was able to figure this out for myself.
When building the squad, I kept putting the national pride objective, Rio Ngumoha in my squad and noticed that the game kept giving me this exact error.
Not using this player at all completely fixed this issue for me.
I suspect others will get the same issue all the time they us a player that is similarly glitched. If you get this issue, take out one player at a time until you find the glitched plater.
BTW - Chat support was useless and unhelpful. Unclear instructions using the wrong terminology constantly confusing me with what I needed to do.
