Unable to control players on UT

Hello, I am a PC user through the EA app, I use a Recent Xbox controller. I am able to play perfectly fine. However, on Ultimate Team I am unable to control any of my players. I have tried to play wired and wireless, all my drivers are up to date and I have also attempted playing with my keyboard and mouse unplugged/turned off. In controller settings it does recognize it is a Xbox controller, and as I say it works fine in other game modes. How can I fix this?

This issue is the reason I finally decided to do something about it. It's so annoying when this happens in high stakes mode and live tournaments etc. Apparently the issue lies in the game somehow swapping controller from hand controller to pc (keyboard). I haven't figured out a way to get around the issue once it happens. But I think chat gpt suggested go to settings and change controller input device. Hope that helps if it happens with u. WHILE WE WAITING FOR EA TO FIX THEIR GAME. NO customer support... Just endless pages of searching, reading, writing on your own...
