Winter Wildcards Tournament PC

I purchased the game on PC for Christmas and has generally been working fine so far, however have come across a weird connection technical issue.

Every time I load up the Winter Wildcards Tournament, the game allows me to pass the ball then says I have disconnected and sends me back to the menu. If I play Rivals, Rush, Squad Battles, or the Season Gold Cup, I have no connection issues and the games play in full.

Has anyone else encountered this? Seems unfair that my DNF modifier is impacted and that I am essentially soft locked out of playing this game mode.
