Defending help through balls

Hi everyone,

I've rejoined first at Christmas after a few years of not playing

I'm struggling with defending through balls, i am playing 4411 and feel like it most games i am playing better in terms of number of chances created but losing to players who play very simple through ball that my defenders seem stuck in mud cant get near 

can anybody advise any good videos or advice on defending?
